Something changes every day, varying, sometimes imperceptibly, so slowly as to be almost static, while on other occasions it is hugely explosive. The measure of time and its passing returns to its natural essence as we observe the rows of vines. There are rules to be abided by, unexpected events to handle and, above all, a level of care to be administered that is absolutely essential.  It takes much more than merely planting a vine to gather its fruits. A hand that respects its life, nurturing it and protecting its growth are necessary too.

A glass of excellent wine is produced only thanks to the grape variety and its unique characteristics, along with those of the land where it grows.  The work carried out subsequently in the cellar, with vinification and ageing, then turns the nectar of the grapes into a high-quality product.

I learned to taste wine by watching my grandfather Franco, observing his actions in the vineyard, his passion for the beauty and goodness of the land. It was Casola Valsenio, the home of the Tozzi family, that taught me the path of wine, allowing me to discover the roots and history of a town, of a community, of men and women who preserve personal and collective memories of an ancestral way of thinking, and of a tradition that has always made them proud of their origins.

The “Tozzi” brand
The “Tozzi” brand
The “Tozzi” brand

The “Tozzi” brand is the product of the spontaneity of a journey with ancient roots in the farmyard and in the words and stories of my ancestors. A young, local project, virtuous in its forward-thinking ambition but with its feet planted firmly in tradition.

The 20th century was “the time of wine”, the time in which my family fell in love with the virtues of the nectar of Bacchus. And this new millennium is still “the time of wine”, which sees me at the forefront, with a team of winegrowers, agronomists and oenologists, honouring that passion, while paving the way to the future, guaranteeing fine-quality wines, memories of the past and a visionary idea of tomorrow.
